Live and Let them Live

What is the Sanctity of Human Life? We often hear this but what does it mean? It means to me that life is sacred Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule: over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Man was created in God’s Image and that alone stands to show that humans are a special kind of life. We as humans can do so much more than other living beings (Not that they are not special because all life is to be respected) As Humans, we have minds to reason with, make our own choices, and know right from wrong. Life should be appreciated and respected from conception to natural death. I see people every day that know this in their hearts yet the weight of the world and the choices they have made may blind them from seeing the truth of their situation.

We have an abundance of information at our fingertips thanks to modern technology. Unfortunately, that information is not always correct. Good is being called bad and bad good. Those of us that believe in pro-life sometimes get a bad wrap and they say we don’t care about others that we are haters. The truth is for me I love everyone, and I don’t want to see anyone hurt. I know that this world is full of sin and times are not getting any better. Therefore, I want women and men to know the truth about life and how God wants to give them a blessed life not only for them but for the unborn babies and for the loved one who is getting older and can’t do all the things they used to. Their lives contribute as well. God is the creator of life and if He thought enough of us to make us in His image then we should respect that and obey what it says John 15: 11-12 I have told you these things so that My joy be in you and your joy may be complete. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. I want to help people see that even a life that is unexpected or becomes unexpected due to illness or accidents is a blessing and that there is a reason as well as a plan for that life. It all becomes so personal when it happens to you or to someone we love. When it happened to me, I became my mom's caregiver it was not easy but it was worth it. The moments that I got to be with her I will never forget. Now I look back on them and some I think of and cry and others I can't help but laugh. You see she didn't choose for life to end up the way that it did and neither did I, but we chose to love each other through it and to give her every opportunity to live life the best that she could. When her time here on earth ended I had no regrets and I cherish every memory that I had with her. Don't think for a moment that those last days of her life did not mean anything or have an impact on this world and the people around her because truly it did. Her testimony and the way she handled her situation helped others with struggles in their own life. I for one am who I am because of who she was and the life lessons that were taught to me in those last days of her life.

I want to encourage others to think before they speak when it comes to life issues. People are searching for answers, and it is so important to give good advice. Tell them the truth about Parenting, Adoption, Abortion, Aging, and Illness. It is all hard, but they need to know the truth, every life is important and has its place in this world. Tell them the truth in love and kindness. Please consider where life comes from, remember someone gave you a chance to make a difference in this world, and even though we all make mistakes, we must love others and respect life. We never know what impact one life can make on ours.
